Am I a Writer?
Am I a writer ? No. Do I plan to be one? No. Am I a good writer? Depends on your definition of good and what the subject is. When it comes to writing essays and blogs off prompts I cant just go right into it. It takes me a while for me just to come up with something. Just like this blog post. I spent like 20 minutes in class just trying to think of how to start it and its not really that good to me but oh well. Like I said I am no writer.
To be or not to be that is question. Well now understand your position.

ReplyDeleteRobert I do agree with you. It also takes a while for me to start. Usually I waste a lot of time thinking about what to write.
ReplyDeleteRobert, I didn't consider myself a good writer when I was in high school either. I didn't want to be a writer nor did I feel comfortable beginning an assignment and I had to put everything on paper first (no pcs then!). I improved when I attended AHC because I was given more writing practice, but what really helped me was that my job required me to write! Fortunately, I learned from my employer some tools that helped me to improve and I continue to this day to practice this skill known as writing/communication. Keep practicing, like you do to improve riding your bike, because I don't know of any skill that grows stronger without practice! You don't have to become a writer for a living but living does require us to know how to write!
